2000 RED FOX REGATTA

September 2-3, 2000

Lake Charlevoix, MI

 29 boats last year!!!!!!

You have listened to all the stories.  You have seen the trophy flags flying.  This year, you must make plans to join the increasing number of multi-hulls that venture North over Labor Day weekend and “Do the Fox”.  Last year, the number of multi-hulls racing increased to a total of 29, which were over 30% of all boats registered.  Last year, we had 2 starts.  This year, we will definitely break out into fleets, if enough join the fun.

All you have to do is ask someone who has been there, and you will find out how much fun this regatta is.  Nice leisurely schedule for boat set-up and even able to sit on the beach and watch the earlier starts take off while eating your lunch.  Lake Charlevoix is a great place to sail so come back up and enjoy it some more with the family.

Long Distance Style Race:  (approx. 18 miles) Just about right for a good sail.  Takes about 3-4 hours each day, depending on the wind of course.  The Charlevoix Yacht Club has offered 3 fleets to us this year.  Fleet split to be determined by number of boats and classes entered.

Saturday: Charlevoix to Boyne City
Sunday: Boyne City to Charlevoix

Trophies for each day and Overall Regatta!!!!

Race is organized and run by Charlevoix Yacht Club.  (Very nice job done each year)
